Black Gold Kartel, a media agency that features everything from fashion to music to tech featured Guttersnipe in their blog! Guttersnipe, meaning “street kid”, creates fresh and sleek designs which caught our interest at Commune. Owned by 2 Fil-Am’s Brian and Brandon Solis together with Alyasha Owerka-Moore (Alphanumeric and Fiberops), this brand is definitely one of the things to look out for in the future. We always work with brands we know we can grow with so check out their latest collection in Commune MNL.
We at Commune are firm believers of rocking your kicks. However, we also understand that keeping them clean is of utmost importance. Normally, this would present a dilemma on what should best be done. To rock or to stock, that is the question. Thankfully, Martin (solemovement) dropped by the shop a few days back and gave us some Jason Markk goodies…FOR FREE!! We were only able to take a picture of this brush since the rest were already used from the get go.

Understatement of the Day: WE LOVE THE NBA.
Basketball cards, game paraphernalia, Fantasy Draft, NBA Asia Challenge 2009, Kobe’s return to the Philippines, you name it — we HAVE and we CAN do the NBA all day, everyday.
The All-Star Weekend is coming up. Mad props to Martin and the rest of BTV and Solar Sports for putting up this annual event to coincide with the festivities during the All-Star weekend. (We heard its free, too!)
Nick Tershay (Diamond Supply) with TK and the rest of Fly Society. Fly Society is a rap group headed by none other than Terry Kennedy, known more for his sick ollies and 360’s. Aside from being a rap group, Fly Society is also a brand that sells tees and caps. Check out their site here. Personally, we dig their sound, especially Get Rich Shit because ya’ll know we all about the grinding to get that paper, and with that bass stomping in the background, its how we keep ourselves in check day in and day out. Wip Caps continues their slew of solid releases with their latest fitted available now at Commune. This time, Wip takes it to the basketball court instead of the boxing ring with this Laker colored cap. The cap features a Japanese character in the front meaning “Kobe.”
This fitted, known as the “Black Mamba Cap,” is inspired by none other than #24, Mr. Kobe Bryant. To switch things up a bit, a snake is found at the back instead of the usual Wip logo to further represent Kobe as the Black Mamba.

One of us was actually able to watch a Laker game last January 3 when they were up against the Mavericks. Too bad the game was one-sided from the very start. Dallas who??

In the latest installment of Keep Watch, Mishka team’s up with dj duo Crookers . The duo has been touring nonstop, smashing all the international fests and bustin’ out the best dance music out right now. Alongside other Italians such as Congorock, The Bloody Beetroots, Nic Sarno and His Majesty Andre Crookers have been strong-arming dance floors and waving the red, white and green bass flag high.

Black Scale collaborated with Crooks & Castles and produced a shirt called Enlightened Governance. 2 keys and a few elements can be seen in the design with Black Scale’s logo at the bottom part. The motif behind the collaboration is unknown.Available now in Commune!
In4mation recently got some profiling from Complex magazine and Complex had nothing but good things to say about them – “In4mation has managed to tread the line between the fashion, skate, and surf scenes without losing sight of its background, and that’s exactly why we co-sign.”
We’d have to agree with Complex on this one as In4mation is one of the better brands out there that definitely sticks to their roots. Bringing them to Commune MNL was a no brainer.
